Mr. Harris, a native of Warren coun ty, attended John Graham high school in V/arrenton and for two years attend ed Campbell college at Buie’s Creek where he was president of the student body. He majored in accounting at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and received his B. S. in Commerce degree in 1939. He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and to Beta Gamma Sigma, national honorary society in Com merce. He was commissioned after attending Midshipman’s Training school at Colum bia University and was commanding officer of a mine sweeper serving in (Continued on page three)
